Cómo ir de Colombo a Galle
En este post os vamos a explicar cómo ir de Colombo a Galle. Suponemos que querrás huir del caos y del estrés de Colombo hacia la bonita y costera ciudad de Galle. Nosotros fuimos en autobús, y nos fue bastante bien, pero también puedes viajar en tren o taxi.

Viajar de Colombo a Galle en autobús
Nosotros fuimos de Colombo a Galle en bus, mejor dicho, en varios buses. Es la opción más económica y rentable para viajar de Colombo a Galle. Si vas con mucho equipaje es posible que tengas que pagar un asiento extra para el equipaje pero nosotros llevábamos dos mochilas grandes de mochilero y dos pequeñas y las pusimos en los pies y encima nuestro y sin problema.
En Colombo tienes que coger el autobús 138 (parada Colombo Central Bus Stand, calle Olcott Mawatha) hasta la estación Makumbura. Este trayecto dura unos 25 minutos y cuesta 50 rupias por persona (0,25€).
En Makumbura tendrás que ir a la puerta B9 y coger el autobús EX01 hasta Galle (te deja en la puerta del Fort, delante de las murallas). Este trayecto dura una hora y media y cuesta 440 rupias por persona (2,4€).
El autobús es muy cómodo y va rápido. Las vistas por la carretera son muy bonitas, selva, árboles y paisajes verdes durante todo el camino.
Nosotros recomendamos esta opción ya que es cómoda, económica y bonita, la mejor manera como ir de Colombo a Galle.
Ir a Galle desde Colombo
Viajar de Colombo a Galle en tren
El tren que va de Colombo a Galle es la forma más bonita de viajar y que es un tren que va pegado al mar con unas vistas espectaculares del mar y de los pueblo costeros. Todos quieren viajar en tren en Sri Lanka y con razón.
Hay dos cosas malas de esta opción. La primera es que el trayecto dura casi 3 horas y media y la segunda es que hay que reservar el billete con al menos 32 días de antelación para tener un asiento seguro, si lo reservas con poca antelación es muy probable que no quede nada disponible.
Los precios en rupias según la clase que quieras ir son los siguientes:
- 1a clase: 340 rupias
- 2a clase: 180 rupias
- 3a clase: 100 rupias

Viajar de Colombo a Galle en taxi
La última opción es la más rápida pero también la más cara.
Recomendamos descargar la aplicación móvil PickMe App para usar cualquier taxi, tuk-tuk o moto para ir a cualquier lugar. Es un aplicación que funciona como Uber o Cabify que te dice el precio antes de subir. Es muy útil ya que en este país todos los conductores te intentan timar y te dan un precio mucho más elevado del real. Esta app te da el precio justo (que es muy barato).
Aquí os dejamos una captura de pantalla de cuanto saldría el trayecto desde Colombo a Galle en taxi (o tuk-tuk o moto (solo 1 persona)).
Cómo viajar de Colombo a Galle
El trayecto total es de aproximadamente hora y media. En moto solo puede ir una persona con el conductor y sale a unos 15 euros, en tuk-tuk pueden ir 3 personas y cuesta unos 24 euros y en taxi (coche) sale aproximadamente unos 28 euros.
Si no utilizas esta aplicación es muy probable que os exijan el doble por este mismo trayecto.
